The World Telugu Conference Day raised its curtain with an inspiring start on Friday. Eminent Telugu personalities – M.Venkaiah Naidu and Telangana Chief Minister have given a clear call to Telugus around the world to give pride to their mother tongue.
Mr.Venkaiah Naidu, at the conference, was a chief guest at the inaugural of the five-day conference. Naidu appreciated Mr.Chandrasekhar Rao for bringing past glory of Telugu language through this World Telugu Conference. As this conference hosted on a much bigger scale than the first WTC organized in Hyderabad.
The Words of Leaders at World Telugu Conference:
“Mr.Chandrasekhar Rao’s love for Telugu and his command over the prose and poetry is a well-acknowledged fact. It befitting that the WTC was organized under his able leadership. It was heartening that the Telugu luminaries of all periods, ancient to the modern era, and of all regions who enriched the Telugu language in its various literary forms were commemorated,” he said.
Emphasizing on the human relations and language’s role, language dialects may vary. But they resemble jewels in the language of Telugu. The flourishment of language, the culture and the traditions of the community would sustain and one can’t separate the language from the society. Further, people, government, and media should work together, to bring prominence to the mother tongue. Unfortunately, even British left the country, people still gave prominence to the English language.
However, a misconception of education is not dependent on the language of study but is in the wisdom of study, Naidu noted. Earlier, the Chief Minister of Telangana paid tributes to the poets and writers like Palkuriki Somana, Bammera Pothana to Kaloji Narayana and C.Narayana Reddy.
Indeed, Mr.Rao felicitated his teacher Mruthyunjaya Sharma. He expressed his Thanks to his mastery over Telugu and for teaching him the subject. They will address Telugu pundits problems soon. Governor of Maharashtra Ch.Vidyasagar Rao, AP, and Telangana Governor E.S.L.Narasimhan, MP Asaduddin Owaisi spoke in Telugu. They extended their greetings for WTC success.
