The net worth of Mukesh Ambani has stabled at $40.1 billion and made him the richest man of India consecutively for the 11th year. Meanwhile, the founder of Amazon, Jeff Bezos surpassed Bill Gates becoming world’s wealthiest person, Forbes reported. Forbes 2018 Billionaires list shows the rank of Mukesh Ambani at 19th Globally and top in India with a worth of $40.1 billion.

Mukesh Ambani, however, driven up from 33rd place last year to 19 this year. “Mukesh Ambani chairs and runs $51 billion (revenues) oil and gas giant Reliance Industries, among India’s most valuable companies,” Forbes said.

With a term as “Centi Billionaire”, Bezos has topped the list with $112 billion net worth and became the only person to continue to appear on the Forbes list with a fortune of 12-figures.

“Shares of his e-commerce giant Amazon rose 59 percent in 12 months, helping boost his fortune by $39.2 billion. It was the biggest one year gain since Forbes started tracking billionaires in 1987,” it said.

Moreover, Amazon finder surpassed Bill Gates – making him the second richest person worldwide with $90 billion fortune. India is a home to almost 119 billionaires and 18 more joined the list this year, according to Forbes.

Forbes 2018 Billionaires list had 2,043 members – world’s richest people. The overall net worth of all the elite people counted to $9.1 trillion – 18% increase from the last year. In fact, average net worth is $4.1 billion which is a record.

Azim Premji ranked 54th globally and is the second richest Indian with $18.8 billion net worth followed by Lakshmi Mittal ($18.5 billion), Shiv Nadar ($14.6 billion), and Dilip SHanghavi ($12.8 billion).

Kumar Birla with 127th rank has a net worth of $11.8 billion, Uday Kotak ($10.7 billion), Radhakishan Damani ($10 billion), Gautam Adani ($9.7 billion), and Cyrus Poonawalla ($9.1 billion) are the ten richest Indians.

FMCG Company co-founder, Acharya Balkrishna placed at 274 positions with $6.3 billion worth. “Shares of his e-commerce giant Amazon rose 59 percent in 12 months, helping boost his fortune by $39.2 billion. It was the biggest one year gain since Forbes started tracking billionaires in 1987,” it said.

Anil Ambani placed at 887 on the Forbes 2018 Billionaires list with a net worth of $2.7 billion. In fact, US President Donald Trump dropped from 544 to 766 with $3.1 billion.

The newcomer’s number counts to 259 and 121 dropped out from the Forbes 2018 Billionaires list because of political reasons and other winds. “In aggregate, they may represent less than 1 percent of total billionaires but their riches amount to 13 percent of the total fortune of all billionaires worldwide,” Forbes said.
