Already PV Sindhu made herself to claim semi-final spot. Silver medallist continued her straight game beating World No. 2 Japanese Akane Yamaguchi at BWF Superseries Finals on Friday. Sindhu thrashed the opponent with 21-9, 21-13 in just 36 minutes. She then topped the Group-A in women’s singles at the Sheikh Hamdan Indoor Stadium here.

Sindhu clinched two Superseries titles this year. In the semi-final on Saturday, she faces China’s Chen Yufei. Yufei defeated Thailand’s Ratchanok Intanon 21-18, 13-21, 21-18 in a Group B match.
Sindhu showed a great anticipation and dominated the proceedings.Even Yamaguchi has done few errors in the previous match. Ahead of this match, Sindhu had a record of 4-2 against Yamaguchi and this made her receive Hong Kong Superseries title last month.
Sindhu started the match with a 5-0 lead. A series of wide and long errors of Japanese player turned the game in favor of PV Sindhu. The opening break mesmerized everyone as it was 11-1. However, we can say it’s a super return and managed to reach until 15-4. But Yamaguchi failed to gain points thereafter.
At 18-6, Sindhu committed an error but that doesn’t stop her to score 13 game points. The second set began equally and at 6-7, Sindhu leading continued. Most of the drops and errors finally made Sindhu take over the game after reaching 18-12. Another miscue stroke made Sindhu seal with a quick reflex near the net.
